The Wild Cave Tour at The Lost Sea

Both your permission slip and your money is due on Tuesday 2/7/12.

The date for our February outing to The Lost Sea  near Sweetwater,TN was changed from 2/25/12 to 2/11/12. Those that had previously signed up to attend on 2/25/12 and still want to attend on the new date of 2/11/12 now must sign up again on our Troop Website under Event Registration. If you can not attend, please leave your regrets at the same location.

BSA policy mandates that each time we have an outing we file a Local Tour Plan with the Central NC Council. The Tour Plan requires that we provide all of the following information for each driver on the Local Tour Plan request:

Electricity Merit Badge Part 2 - Feb 7 - What To Bring

For part 2 you will need to bring two (2) "D" cell batteries and a copy of the Electricity Merit Badge worksheet.  You will be making an electromagnet and all parts will be provided except for your power source which you will be bringing.  We will cover requirements 3, 6, 7, 10 and get you ready for 2 and 8 which you will need to do at home.  You will also need the batteries for Part 3 (Feb 21) when you will be making an electric motor and a light circuit.

For all scouts looking for some ideas on what to do their Eagle Project on, Mecklenburg Parks and Rec Dept. has a website specifically addressing Eagle Projects.

Eagle Award Presentation

On Scout Sunday, February 5, 2012, during the 10:00 morning worship service at the Harrisburg Presbyterian Church, Jacob Sigler will be presented with his Eagle Rank Award. All scouts, scout leaders and guests are welcome to attend. Scouts and leaders should wear their Class A uniform.

National Scout Jamboree
